About Me |
About Me In 1985 I was made redundant from my publishing job and learned the techniques of Black & White photography with a local Community Group. I shortly became a Prizewinner at the International South Bank Photo Show in London which inspired me to continue taking photographs. I was also inspired by the Magnum group of Photographers and developed a keen interest in Documentary Photojournalism. With my winning prize-money I purchased a Leica M6 as used by most of the Magnum photographers. I have since received 11 photographic awards. |
I prefer to capture unposed moments in time using natural light. I have worked with various Multicultural groups in my area which has enriched my life. I love Travel and all the Arts. With the onset of Digital photography I sadly find my darkroom has become redundant and I am moving more towards Fine-Art photography. Although Art and Photography are blending into one form, I still consider these two as separate mediums in their own right. |
